Worldwide suppression of free-thinking is taking place without resistance.

Cancel culture is with us to stay and is tyranny. Famous journalist Glenn Greenwald writes, warning, that: “Teams of journalists at three of the most influential corporate media outlets — CNN’s ‘media reporters’ (Brian Stelter and Oliver Darcy), NBC’s ‘disinformation space unit’ (Ben Collins and Brandy Zadrozny), and the tech reporters of The New York Times (Mike Isaac, Kevin Roose, Sheera Frenkel) — devote the bulk of their ‘journalism’ to searching for online spaces where they believe speech and conduct rules are being violated, flagging them, and then pleading that punitive action be taken (banning, censorship, content regulation, after-school detention).”

There cannot be any intellectual growth without free thinking taking place. It is said that in 1823 William Webb Ellis, a pupil at Rugby School, picked up a ball and started running with it. His mates tackled him physically to get the ball back and the game of rugby was born. That was free-thinking. When Professor Chris Barnard decided to transplant a human heart in 1969 (Cape Town, South Africa) he technically committed murder as the legal definition at the time said that once a man's heart stopped beating he is dead, and thus an entirely new ethical question arrived on when to do the transplant (they waited for the donor to die naturally). I am sure that you get my point. You need discussion, free and without fear, to get things done. A mundane example is running a business, big or small, the directors talk things over before making a decision. In a family environment, the same thing. Free discussion, debate, is part of human nature. If not, you have a dictatorship/wifebeater scenario where fear rules. Thus, it is very true that once you control what people say you control what they think. Thus, it stands to reason that when only one version of events is allowed and embraced whilst the other side is actively suppressed, canceled, that a skewed view will prevail since that is the only acceptable view. We saw that in Apartheid South Africa, by the way, where we believed we were right because that was the only view allowed to enter our heads. When you combine the above with a genuine fear of being fired, ridiculed, and even murdered, you have a system without freedoms, a dictatorship, something evil. A system without any prospect of intellectual growth or further human achievement. It is that serious what is happening right now. Those that point out the danger is smeared as "conspiracy theorists..."

In many of the books under my pseudo name, I explain where the word "conspiracy theorist" comes from. Yes, directly from the CIA to “prevent disbelief of official government versions.” Since then it was and is abused to wipe out dissident and keep the "Ministry of Truth" alive. If that did not work the fellow was smeared as a "communist" and later, recently, a "pedophile" and today that went further where books are electronically burned because they have the "wrong" message. Where the fellow still did not understand the new masters he or she is "de-platformed" and silenced. Again, whilst the other side, the "correct" side is promoted... you must be stupid not to see where this is leading the world to - 1984 in hyper mode.

As is we have had just more than one year of the Corona-Covid-19 Pandemic that kills almost no one relating to what heart disease, cancer, and even drownings do. Yet, that is all you hear, the grim statistics and scientists making contradictory interpretations, predictions, and always the doom and gloom brigade is promoted. They cannot even make up their minds if masks work or not even if logic will tell you that something as small as a virus cannot possibly be stopped by a mask. And no, you should not cough at people anyway. And note that doctors inside a theatre are exposed more to germs since they are trapped inside a small room beside the smell of an opened human body which is dreadful indeed. Stop that silly argument that "doctors wear masks" since it is entirely not an apple with apple comparison which fails on every logical count. But whatever, if the law tells you to wear six masks then you do so because that is the law. But I wonder how what is happening now can be seen as normal. It is not, repeat not normal to shut down economies and to place citizens under house arrest with lockdowns that make no sense except as abuse of power. We even have a politician here that admits that he was so tired that he did not know if it was night or day or what day of the week... Now, to me, such a man is a pathetic leader that does not know how to delegate. It is an example of being out of your depth and a reason to resign in disgrace.

This nonsense of suppressing alternative views to your own must end. Open debate is always welcomed in civilized societies or used to be when democracy meant something. That is what used to happen in Parliament, courts, and among free men (and women) down to school level. I wonder, do you really think, Social Media and Google, that promoting your side only will take away the ability to think for yourself? Some will yes, they are by nature like that and unable to get to a higher level of intelligence. We should pray for them too. But many others will not be influenced and make up their own minds once they saw all sides of the coin. Which is perhaps the most arrogant part of the suppression by Social Media and Google - the idea that you are too stupid to think for yourself and must be spoonfed with one view only as if a child or the village moron. It is pathetic.
